In this case, individuals who engage in leisure activities reduce the risks associated with ob esity since they start living a healthy lifestyle as physical activities reduces intra-abdominal visceral fats (State of California Resources Agency, 2005). Although the consumption of foods rich in fats is a primary election contributor to obesity, it is significant to point out that the prevalence of this condition, in the society, is strongly related to the failure by individuals to participate in physical activities than their consumption of foods rich in high calories (Welk & Blair, 2000).
